Brittney - my second baby!

Brittney! What can I say! April 3, 1991 changed my life forever. I will never forget getting the call that she had made her entrance into the world. When I walked into the hospital room she was crying and that little whimper stole my heart! Nothing has been the same since!

I have had the pleasure of being part of Brittney's life on a daily bases and it has been a wonderful experience! She is the closest thing to my own child that I have experienced thus far. Yearly vacations have taken us to Gatlinburg, the beach and Branson several times and now that she is older and busy it is one of the things I miss the most. Brittney has always been prissy, feisty, funny, loving, and independent. Yes she needs me, but I need her more! This year is senior year and boy is it a tough one. I cried through the first football game this year because this is the last year she will be in high school. I cried the day we went to have senior pictures made because she is not my baby anymore. Every time she has a drama or heartbreak my heart breaks too! I can only hope that I have taught her half as much about life as she has taught me! Has it been a smooth ride - NO WAY! There have been some really rough times and there will be more but we always seem to make it through and learn something along the way. Has the ride been worth every bit of it - YES YES YES! I would not change a thing! Part my baby, part my best friend, but mainly my Babycakes!

Some of the things I will never forget about life with Brittney:
1. "We eat cat food"
2. dropping her off at preschool and going around the corner and watching until she made it all the way in the door all by herself
3. going to "Mynando" for ice cream (no it is not HERnando it is MYnando)
4. gymnastics
5. Scratch the cat
6. Grape the bear
7. speedo shorts for every occasion
8. NO buttons - not ever!
9. that cute little pink and white short set that she hated (see #8)
10. the apple picture from pre-school
11. A purse full of pacifiers (like 10 in a purse)
12. the "ride"
13. sitting on the porch in the afternoons and playing with bubbles

I could go on and on but I think you get the picture! My life would never be the same without Brittney! What a blessing and a joy she has been for me!

Thank you Babycakes for letting me share your life with you!

I love you!
